This is me project conceived, developed and directed by the film school for children and youth ORSON the KIDDRAFTThe children´s film school, Orson the Kid, has the honor of presenting you with its newest audiovisual and multimedia project; one of high quality education.
THIS IS ME, will be a feature film shot around the world, denouncing the lack of respect for children’s rights, approved by the United Nations.
The film will be a collection of 6 stories which will represent the lack of human rights for children in every continent. It will not be a documentary, nor a docudrama, nor a reality show; it will be life represented in the form of “fiction” by the story´s own protagonists.
We´ve chosen to bring the world of cinema closer to the lives of those who are less protected, as an instrument used to denounce and project their reality.
Orson the Kid has much experience in the domain of cinematographic and audiovisual education for children and adolescents. With seven years of existence, over 700 students of 12 nationalities confirm this, as well as the production of 30 short films and 2 feature films ; and last but not least, its over 40 collaborators and important international sponsors underwrite it.

“THE CHILD IS AN IRREPLACEABLE CULTURAL RESSOURCE”
Today´s children have, more than ever, a more-than-adequate knowledge of fundamental civil rights. Nowadays one hears talk of a “crisis of values”. More than ever, children are prepared from the start to be educated with positive objectives: a citizenship responsible for its rights and obligations.
But the reality is that the world is handled by adults. Men and women who direct, control and decide, in all things political, religious, military, economic and cultural, the fine line with which history is made. It’s extremely possible that there is not one country in the world free from violating fundamental children’s rights.
The logic of human rights begins in a person’s heart; in this intimate and personal nucleas, individual lifestyle choices are made.
THOSE MOST INNOCENT
The stories THIS IS ME consists of, are an essential part of their creator´s (the childrens’) own life. The young ones will be able to describe, out loud, their experiences in life, through the only tool available to them: cinema. They will be educated in specific techniques so that they too, will be able to educate others by denunciation. Through cinema, six different stories, in six languages from six varied cultures will unite in order to create one voice. Orson the Kid plans that each and every activity developed in the various arts and sectors of the cinema, helps the young ones to use and nourish their own creative capacity and selective (and critical) judgment; and that these will encourage them to strengthen their integrity as people.
